Preparedness Activities | Preparedness

When disaster strikes a community, how do you get the assistance and aid you need? This is a question you should know the answer to before an emergency arises. SWNPHD in partnership with Emergency Managers and other first responders craft preparedness plans for their particular communities. Being prepared could mean the difference between life and death.

Preparedness work groups are a valuable asset in keeping our residents safe.

  • Long Term Care Work Group:

Our nursing homes and assisted living homes house one of our most vulnerable populations; their attention to preparedness is critical to the safety and wellbeing of our elderly. SWNPHD leads a long-term care facility (LTCF) preparedness group made up of all the nursing homes and assisted living facilities in our health district.

  • Business Continuity Work Group:

Business Continuity Management teams work to safeguard their organization’s financial health and business reputation. It protects the interests and safety of its clients, patients, and key stakeholders by identifying potential impacts that threaten their organization and provides a framework for building resilience and capabilities for an effective response during and after a disaster.
