Mold | Environmental

Molds can be found almost anywhere; they can grow on virtually any organic substance, as long as moisture and oxygen are present.

It is impossible to eliminate all molds and mold spores from the indoor environment, however mold can be controlled by controlling the indoor moisture.

If mold is present in your home, wash up the mold and get rid of the excess water or moisture. Fix leaky plumbing or other sources of water. Wash mold off hard surfaces with soap and water. Absorbent materials such as wood and carpet may need to be replaced.

Mold Test Kits are for taking samples of mold in your home to have analyzed at laboratory to determine type of mold.  This does not include air samples. The Do-It-Yourself Mold Test kits are available at our office for $10 each ($13 to mail). The kit offers 6 test strip sites or 2 bagged test samples. Additional cost of $10 per sample paid to lab for testing.
